These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Grozeries mobile application ("App") operated by Grozeries ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.
1. The Service
Grozeries helps you browse grocery specials and catalogues in Australia based on your selected postcode. Store availability, product details, prices, and promotion dates are provided for general information only and may change without notice. We do not sell groceries and are not affiliated with the retailers shown in the App unless stated otherwise.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age required to consent to these Terms in your country or region, you may use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Accounts and Device Identifiers
The App may associate your preferences and settings with a device identifier stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for activity that occurs through your use of the App.
4. Optional Subscription — Support the Developer
The App offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("Support the Developer" or "Subscription") that removes in-app advertising and helps support continued development of the App.
- Plans: monthly and yearly options may be offered. Plan names, duration, and prices are shown in the App before purchase.
- Payment: All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not directly by us. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
- Auto-renewal: Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, your Subscription will automatically renew and your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged the renewal price within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Access during a billing period: If you cancel, you will continue to have access to subscription benefits until the end of the current paid period, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
- Managing or cancelling:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
- Restore purchases: If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use "Restore purchases" in the App while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices where permitted. Any change will apply to subsequent billing periods in accordance with the platform's rules and, where required, after notice to you.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play.
- Free trials or introductory offers: If offered, any free trial or promotional period will convert to a paid Subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends, as shown at the time of purchase.
5. Advertising
The free version of the App may display third-party advertisements (for example, via Google AdMob). If you have an active Subscription, in-app advertising intended for free users is removed for the duration of your active subscription period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App or its services
- Scrape, harvest, or automate access to the App in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our systems
- Misrepresent your affiliation with us or with any retailer shown in the App
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Retailer names, logos, and product information belong to their respective owners and are used for informational purposes.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that specials, prices, product availability, or catalogue information are accurate, complete, or current. Always verify details in store before relying on them.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Subscription in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) AUD $50, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
10. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights or remedies you may have under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law, that cannot be lawfully excluded.
11. Changes to the App and These Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, where permitted by law.
12. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the App, or any part of it, at any time. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any active Subscription through Apple or Google.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If you access the App from outside Australia, you are responsible for compliance with local laws where applicable.
